Description

The National Coptic Charity is seeking two dynamic and creative individuals to join our team as Media Interns. In this role, you will take full responsibility for managing and growing our social media presence across all platforms. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the charity’s visibility, engage a wide audience, and help us amplify our mission through compelling digital content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management: Oversee and manage all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Threads, etc.), ensuring consistent and engaging content across channels.


  • Design visually appealing posts using Canva that align with ongoing programs, write engaging captions, and create or coordinate the outsourcing of multimedia content (images, videos, infographics) to effectively communicate our message.


  • Social Media Growth: Drive the growth of the charity’s social media following by implementing strategies to increase engagement, reach, and followers, with a focus on aggressive expansion.


  • Account Verification: Ensure all official social media accounts are verified and maintain accurate account information.


  • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all posts and content align with the charity’s branding, tone, and mission.


  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor social media performance using analytics tools, generate reports on engagement metrics, and adjust strategies to optimize growth and impact.


  • Engagement and Community Building: Actively interact with followers, respond to comments and messages, and engage with the community to foster relationships and a sense of belonging.


  • Campaign Support: Assist with developing and executing social media campaigns for fundraising, awareness, and events.


  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Banquet Planning, Egypt Outreach, IT) to ensure social media aligns with overall organizational goals and initiatives.


  • Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the charity’s social media presence remains innovative and effective.


  • General Administrative Support: Help coordinate any digital content-related logistics, including scheduling posts, managing media calendars, and assisting with content approvals.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices for each.


  • Proficiency in design tools like Canva (experience with video editing software is a plus).


  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling captions and messages.


  • Highly motivated with a passion for social media and digital marketing.


  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of social media strategy and content creation.


  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to brand guidelines.


  • Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools is a plus.


  • Creativity, resourcefulness, and a willingness to experiment with new content formats and strategies.


  • A passion for the mission of the National Coptic Charity and a strong desire to make an impact.
